• To assist the ED Consultants in supervising the daily work of the SHOs and to act as a source of advice and support for the SHOs• To see and treat patients as they present to the department in addition to those referred by SHOs• To assist in the treatment and resuscitation of seriously ill or injured patients• To actively monitor and help manage patient queues in conjunction with the Nursing Shift Leader.• To undertake a daily morning review of patients on the short stay ward on a rotating basis and arrange for discharge or admission as appropriate• To liaise closely with local GPs and other primary care providers to ensure appropriate follow up of ED patients.• To see patients referred to the ED follow-up clinics for review.• To undertake, in conjunction with the Consultants, daily review of investigation results returning to the department with the arrangement of patient follow up, when necessary.

-Doing initial and ongoing assessment of patient's medical, physical, and psychosocial status.-Writing and filling up all documents and patients history sheet and MLC and other such forms as ordered by Clinical Administration.-Examining all patients on admission in ICU/ ER/ other such Clinical area as designated by Clinical Administration.-Ordering investigations and giving treatments under guidance of the departmental Head/ Coordinator.-Seeking consultation and doing referrals to Specialist and Consultants as per Clinical protocol and Hospital policies.-Receiving and giving written handover at the bedside at the beginning and end of the duty shift.-Generating a concise list of the patient's medical problems, a rational approach to a differential diagnosis, and offer an initial investigational and management plan.-Performing daily rounds with my consultants, provide accurate documentation in the progress notes of daily events, the therapeutic goals in each individual patient, and of decisions made on rounds with the attending staff.-Doing an effective and excellent communicate with patients and their families, and with other members of the health care team.-Attending daily interactive lectures.-As an ALS provider, I am a member of code blue team in the hospital, so I perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, assist with bedside procedures, gather collateral information from the patient’s chart and family members, assist the Senior Medical Resident running the code with generating a differential diagnosis and executing a management plan.-Arranging for discharge and after care.
