The YoungEDBR was set up to stimulate active involvement of young people in the shaping of Rotterdam’s economy. This young people’s advisory board is comprised of about 20 enthusiastic people between the ages of 18 and 35 who are entrepreneurs, students or who have good careers at r companies in the region. The YoungEDBR builds bridges between young people, the business community, the education sector, the authorities and politicians. Young people are offered an opportunity to express their opinion via this board. They can deploy their talents in enabling Rotterdam to develop into a dynamic city offering plenty of economic prospects.

In 2009 Rotterdam was the European Youth Capital. YOUR WORLD is the brand name of Rotterdam European Youth Capital. From the beginning of 2009, young people were at the center of attention, and got the opportunity to really make things better in their own city and, of course, take part in a whole host of fun and interesting events and activities organized for, by and with young people. I was responsible for building the brand (in tems of communication) for the young people.

My first company. What started out as a study experiment. Evolved into a serious business. Creating events, social networking trips (live), parties, small concerts, brand activations and more. This is where I started to build on my network. It grew ever since. But more then that it was my first year at the school of "Hard Knocks".
