Led a team of 26 staff led by 3 Managers. Accomplishments included:➢ Developed new framework for monitoring compliance in energy sector and oversaw monitoring, investigation and enforcement activities- drove cultural change to ensure that potential issues of non-compliance were identified and considered by executive review committee➢ Built sanctioning regime to induce compliance by working with industry associations and leaders of regulated entities ➢ Built alignment for approach and solicited input and approval from government appointed Board members for complex policy initiatives➢ Led review of operation and effectiveness of consumer protection legislation which included extensive consumer research and engagement and provided recommendations to government➢ Realized a 70% decrease in complaints to Board about regulated entities due to successful implementation of consumer protection legislation and enforcement regime➢ Managed human resources, information management, $3m budget, and other operational aspects of business unit as well as organizationally as member of Executive Committee

Led a team of 22 staff which was newly formed to lead Board’s Compliance & Consumer Protection function. Seconded from AGCO to OLG to lead a cultural change agenda in response to an Ombudsman report to drive the principles of player protection throughout the OLG so that they are infused into decision-making and program, policy and product design and become the “way we do business”. ➢ Provided policy direction and drafted regulations and guidelines under the Liquor Licence Act, Gaming Control Act, FOIPPA and other related legislation which required working with various departments and stakeholders aligning differing business and regulatory interests under a common regulatory framework➢ Conducted disciplinary, review and public interest hearings on behalf of the Registrar pertaining to liquor licensing and gaming registration including case preparation, extensive negotiation and appearances before the politically appointed AGCO Board➢ Seconded as Senior Gaming Policy Advisor (2000) - worked with leaders of charitable bingo industry to determine industry vision and requisite policy changes to revitalize ailing industry in Ontario.
