My experience of managing, overseeing and working with multiple campuses, regional and field offices across different geographies, i.e. 15 locations across four countries for the University of Central Asia (UCA) and Five locations across East Africa and Pakistan for Aga Khan University, will be instrumental in providing effective leadership, management and oversight to administrative, corporate and financial services. My ability to simultaneously focus on the big picture and maintain attention to details, deal with uncertainties and managing change, better understand program priorities and relate program objectives and outcomes with financials are key attributes for my ongoing success and will foster collective excellence and exceeding expectations as part of a dynamic leadership team. I have hands on approach to dealing with complex issues and challenges, some examples are listed below: • I led annual multi-year budgeting and planning including long-term integrated implementation and phasing plan ($1.4 billion over 25 years) at UCA.• I worked with relevant government departments for operationalizing the Treaty rights and fiscal exemptions for UCA in Central Asia.• I established an effective grant management mechanism at UCA and managed ongoing strengthening at AKU; and worked with several multi-/bi-lateral donor agencies directly and through the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) donor units including Asian Development Bank, European Commission, USAID, Global Affairs Canada and International Development Research Centre, among others (more than 100 grants over $30 million secured up to 2019).• I successfully led the negotiations for $30m loan (tenure: 27 years with 7-year grace period) from the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation for financing the UCA campus construction in Khorog, Tajikistan.

• As part of University’s long-term vision and ensure long-term financial sustainability, I am actively involved with the Senior Management to locate and pursue investment opportunities for the University.• Preparation of annual operational & capital budgets, cash flows, and 10-15 year forecasts.• Analysis of monthly statistical and financial information• Monitoring of capital expenditure• Preparation of feasibility studies for projects, programs, facilities and equipment’s• Produce costing studies in order to ensure profitability of various services, programs• Supervise daily payments/receipt and ensure timeliness, accuracy, and satisfaction of internal & external customers• Supervise fixed asset recording and monitoring, supervise monthly payroll• Supervise treasury operations & bank reconciliations• Co-ordinate & resolve queries of external auditors during the annual audit• Supervise other general accounting functions/activities
