The position has strong focus on strategic development on governance, managament, working methods and tools as well as stakeholder collaboration for increased pace in climate transition and for achieving the city's environmental and climate goals. This includes i.a coordinating the city's implementation of the EU mission 100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities since designated as one of the 100, developing the current Climate City Contract, developing structures for broad stakeholder engagement and collaboration within the city and with other cities, drive advocacy work at national and EU level etc. Furthermore responsible for one of seven cross-cutting strategies - We act as forerunners - within the city's Environment and Climate Program, Project Manager for Climate Neutral Gothenburg 2030 and focal point for the city's engagment within the Swedish Innovation program Viable Cities.

Climate Neutral Göteborg 2030 aims at contributing to and creating oppurtunities that will increase the pace of transition to climate neutrality , including the transformative ability and institutional capacity in the city for developing solutions at system level. Climate Neutral Göteborg 2030 will explore how digitalisation, through Virtual Gothenburg, can be used as a leverer for governance innovation and policy development, promote behavioural changes and accelerate transformation broadly amongst stakeholders. The project is part of Viable Cities, the national strategic innovation program with a focus on smart sustainable cities, where Göteborg together with eight other cities will drive the development and transition towards climate-neutral cities in Sweden. As Project Manager I am responsible for coordinating the different workpackages within the project, communication efforts and events, external partnerships and agreements, method development, ensuring compliance with plans, budgets and other requirements, collaboration and peer learning betwen cities, participate and coordinate with Viable Cities etc.

Project Manager and senior adviser within the Environmental Economics and Policy Group (MEP) at Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development. Mainly providing advice to and support Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency), including regional offices at Swedish embassies, on environmental integration, sustainable use of natural resources and climate change risks in Swedish international development cooperation. Other areas of responsibility included methodological development and capacity development, e.g. training, dialogue, and strengthening the links between research and policy for sustainable development.

Secretary in the work on the public government investigation on marine spatial planning . The mission involved analyzing and clarifying shortcomings in existing knowledge bases and data collection processes, analyzing the need to develop existing knowledge to suit marine spatial planning and to propose focus on future knowledge provision. The report was presented and submitted to the Swedish Minister for the Environment. SOU 2011:56.

Coordination and project management for both technical issues and more administrative issues as well as organisational development. Some permanent areas of responsibility consisted of coordinating environmental objectives, the Marine Strategy Framework Directive and the environmental management system of the Board as well as annual reporting to the government. Some completed assignments during the term of office consisted of the main responsibility for the government mission to strengthen small-scale coastal fishing in Sweden, which was reported to the government in March 2010 and assistant project manager for a flagship project on sustainable fisheries management within the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region.

Bangkok, Thailand

Worked as a consultant on behalf of Sida/Swedmar. Missions included technical reports on ongoing contributions for marine environment and fisheries programs in Southeast Asia. Organizations comprised in the support included e.g. SEAFDEC, FAO/RAP, and UNEP/COBSEA. A follow-up report of the Swedish post tsunami support to FAO in Southeast Asia was also conducted. The different assignments included planning, performing and compiling of reports, study trips visiting project sites and coastal communities, meetings with government representatives and representatives of different stakeholders in the region. The assignments were conducted part time.
