Independent Researcher And Consultant
CurrentAs an expert consultant in biomechanics, my deep understanding of the human body, tissue material properties, injury tolerances and prevention provides value to projects about traffic safety, medical devices, and personal protective equipment (PPE) for workers and sport safety. My customers range from small start-ups to large established corporations. I solve small problems as well as take on long-term research projects, all based on the needs of the customer. A few examples of previous project results are CAE tools that represent the human body for optimization of medical devises, virtual and laboratory test methods for PPE certification, state-of-the-art knowledge as input to business strategies, review of injury epidemiology, and personnel educated in biomechanics. A few of my recent publications are listed here on LinkedIn in section Publications, for a more complete list see the links below.Tools that I use in my daily work encompass finite element codes for structural analysis of the human response in accidents (e.g. ANSYS LS-Dyna), programming codes for analysis (e.g. MATLAB), and slide presentations for transparent and pedagogic communication of results and knowledge, to name a few.
