As a lifeguard and general counsellor, my responsibilities included; overseeing the daily activities of campers, performing lifeguarding duties on the waterfront, teaching younger children (aged 6 - 11) how to swim, supervising campers to ensure their safety and well-being.I personally worked with children between the ages of 6 - 16 on the waterfront, and closely supervised children aged 11 - 15 as a general counsellor. I was frequently appointed head lifeguard on the days where the head lifeguard was unavailable. My duties as head lifeguard included; managing the team of lifeguards, overseeing all waterfront activities to ensure safety, be on standby in case of an emergency.
