This association has worked diligently to urge union representation for substitutes throughout the state and nation. Currently, I participate in committees to work on issues that substitutes face when going to fill teaching, paraprofessional and clerical positions in the school and district.

During 2007-08, I was the Career & Technical Education Teacher for the Outdoor Education POST program. This is a student led program preparing young people for leadership and outdoor skills. King County Elections - Tukwila

Greeter and Monitor at one of the three election locations within the county to assist voters. Washington State now uses mail in ballots and no longer has neighborhood polling centers.

Currently on contract to assist with the College Bound Scholarship, a Washington State scholarship that 7th & 8th grade students who are eligible for free & reduced lunch or in foster care make the commitment that they will maintain a 2.0 or higher and stay out of trouble (no felonies) through high school. They are promised full tuition coverage (after grants and scholarships) plus a book stipend to any 2, 4 or technical school in the state. AG, Ltd. was a partnership that handled replication and packaging of slide programs for insurance, education, business religious and entertainment companies. Formerly, Kinderfilme, the company served such entities as the Franciscan Center, Disney, Hanna Barbera, and the Navy. AG, Ltd. expanded its business interests by working with Mashpriborintorg, the then Soviet Union business association. We handled the sale of optical glass, equipment and cameras.

As an eligibility coordinator, I worked with families regarding the cost of medical care and programs that assisted in the payment of medical services. After organizing scoliosis screening in the clinic at no cost to the student, I developed a newsletter that kept school nurses up to date and helped them make connections with other departments within the hospital. The Scoliosis staff team worked hard to pass the state law to have the screening become required by the schools.

It was their mutual finding that all children around the world begin drawing in the same way: it begins with the circle. The ICAC's gallery in Ghirardelli Square displayed numerous collections of children's art. The center offered art classes, lectures, exhibits and art supplies. After attempting to coordinate the many peace organizations in the Bay Area through Robert Vaughn's organization, Dissenting Democrats, I joined the Eugene McCarthy organizing committee for the California primary campaign. Hundreds of volunteers came from all parts of the country to work on this campaign. I was in charge of finding housing and keeping them busy.
