Karin represents both public and private employers in the defense of employment discrimination lawsuits, including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, ERISA, and employment-related constitutional claims. Karin also represents government entities in a variety of civil rights-based lawsuits. Karin earned her B.A. from Penn State University in 1995, and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2003. Karin joined Thomas, Thomas & Hafer in 2004, and is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Karin has obtained summary judgment on behalf of employers and government entities in a number of employment and civil rights matters. Representative cases include the following:-- Beckinger v.
