As a communication strategist I use communication to make change happen. I develop internal and external communication. Some of my areas of expertise include PR, crisis communication, employee engagement, behavior change and media relations. I provide communication advice and coordinate larger campaigns. At the national level I´m the project manager of a communication initiative at the Swedish Water Association: Svenskt Vatten.

Public Relations Manager/ Communications Manager I was part of the Administrative management and provided expert communications advice. I managed other communicators in the Municipal district administration. I was responsible for developing internal and external communication as well as for press contacts. Among other things I participated in the City's development of the intranet and worked with communication planning.

At the Gothenburg City Contact Centre, I coordinated approximately 500 web editors in the City of Gothenburg, working closely with colleagues. This role demanded a deep understanding of web communication and effective collaboration skills.

The main task was to support the goals of the adminstration with communication, making strategies, planning and using different channels. I edited the administrations news site and managed a digital meetingplace for managers. Among other things I worked with an EU democracy project.

June to November 2004, I was on leave for an internship in the news department at the UN headquarters in New York and for a field study in Tanzania. This was part of the master's course "Communication for Development" which I took alongside my job for two years starting in the autumn of 2002.

The main duties was to contribute to reach the goals of the organisation through information activities. I was responsible for producing a newsletter, news releases, adverts, brochures and posters. I also planned information activities and was the editor of a web site. The Environment Administration works to ensure that Gothenburg has clean air, clean water, a healthy natural environment, good food, a good indoor environment and good animal care. The goal is a sustainable development.

Management training and work within three different parts of the local government administration. As a trainee I participated at all the various levels. Through this training I gained an insight into politically governed organisations and into the interaction between politicians and staff. I have also learnt the fundamentals of finance and the budget process, as well as the local government legislation. National and international perspectives were dealt with during study tours to Brussels and Stockholm. My management training included a one-week conference on practical group dynamics. The aim was that each participant should be able to identify and deal with conflicts, communicate clearly, give and receive feedback and distinguish different phases of group development.My personal focus during this period has been on information. I wrote the Information Policy for the Athletics and Associations Department. At Göteborg&Co Media Centre I was responsible for press information in connection with the International Science Festival. Furthermore I was responsible for visiting international journalists and I worked with media service during the EU Summit Meeting in Gothenburg in 2000. At the Cultural Affairs Department I marketed a yearly event known as the Gothenburg Culture Evening - a night full of cultural adventures. I designed advertisements and posters and also produced the City Library Annual Report.

I edited all sorts of news pages, including both features and international news. I evaluated the news and chose pictures. I communicated with printers, edited the periodical, etc.Sept 1996 – May 1998: Freelance journalist. I have written for, among others, Reader's Digest (the Swedish edition) and Aftonbladet, Sweden's biggest newspaper. I took photographs for the Swedish Cooperative Centre in Nicaragua.Summer 1996: Art Editor, Södermanlands Nyheter (Södermanland News), Nyköping.

Summers of 1989 – 1995. In 1993 I improved my French working as an au pair in France. For five summers I have been employed at youth camps both as a teacher and as a member of the kitchen staff. This has taught me the importance of teamwork. One summer I was in charge of the kitchen. For two summers and the autumn of 1991 I worked with elderly people within the home-help service. I learnt responsibility and how to deal with different kinds of people.
