Karin kick-started her career at FNB as a Grad on their Graduate Programme. Upon completion of the programme she was appointed as a Branch Manager at FNB Melrose Arch, making her the youngest Branch Manager in the country at the time. One of her key achievements was the work she did with her team to implement a turnaround strategy for the Branch which saved it from closing down. Having discovered her innate passion for people and an appreciation that business performance can be positively impacted by people improvement practices, she later joined the FNB Human Capital team as an HR Manager where she managed a strategic FNB initiative focusing on the large scale recruitment of young talent into the Branch network across South Africa.Karin later re-joined Business and worked as a Relationship Manager for FNB Cash Operations where she was inspired to conduct research for her MBA Dissertation titled “The relationship between the SARB and banks in SA – Symbiotic or Parasitic?”. This research and a strong relationship with her clients in RMB presented her with an opportunity to join the Cash Product Team in Transactional Banking at RMB Corporate Banking as a Senior Analyst. After pursuing a journey of self-discovery and a search for more meaning and purpose in her work, she joined the RMB Human Capital Team and dual hatted as the Strategic Executive Assistant to the Head of Human Capital and an Organisational Development Specialist, focusing primarily on the Culture Journey that Corporate Bank had embarked on. Karin was then a Human Capital Business Partner in RMB Corporate and Investment Banking.She then joined Nedbank CIB as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner.
