I'm a first-generation American. My father spoke nine languages, my mother two, and me? Well I took three years of Spanish, two years of French, listened to 30+ years of Vietnamese, and can only speak English proficiently. So I leaned in.I decided to follow in my father's footsteps to become a writer, eventually studying journalism at the University of Texas at Austin. And after realizing during my senior year that less than 1% of my graduating class would go on to become professional journalists, I quickly pivoted to using my copywriting and copyediting skills to create compelling marketing. I'm an odds gal.After years of in-house experience at some of your favorite CPG brands, I wanted to get my hands on more better-for-you products so I co-founded UMAI Marketing, a digital marketing and branding agency.
