I currently work on developing Machine Translation systems in a commercial setting, enabling companies to leverage the advantages that the latest models bring. The role includes keeping up with the new research in order to tailor to different use cases and client requirements. I am particularly interested in MT evaluation, exploring beyond basic automatic metrics, particularly for LLM output.Previous to that I built domain specific NER models, sentiment models and summarizers. In addition I have leveraged NLP techniques for automatic prediction in task-specific functions.My experience includes deriving datasets and analytical insight from raw text using NLP techniques, and extensive evaluation of trained models. I combine a pragmatic approach with business awareness and a keen interest in evolving research. Interested in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning in general. My thesis was on coherence, and assessing this computationally in an machine translation context. This has included developing entity-based models, syntax models and discourse relations models. These have been both monolingual and crosslingual. I have also worked on multilingual sentiment analysis.
