Hand therapy, which includes the specialized assessment and treatment of conditions affecting the hands and upper extremities. Perinatal occupational therapy, which works to ensure that women and families who are pregnant or have given birth receive comprehensive, holistic, and evidence-based care personalized to the perinatal period.

• Provide hand therapy services for patients with specific hand and upper extremity conditions following traumatic injury and/or surgery, through an individualized approach that includes assessment, treatment, education, and communication to maximize the patient’s progression toward meeting functional goals.• Design individualized treatment programs that (i) maximize patient’s return to baseline function, (ii) optimize wound healing/scar remodeling, (iii) manage edema and pain, and (iv) prevent further injury through education and activity modification.• Produce custom-fabricated orthotics and assist patient’s decision-making for prefabricated orthotics.
