Enthusiastic, motivating, passionate facilitator for the most amazing group of individuals—-transitioning military members and their families. About 5 years ago, I was in their shoes. Sitting at my desk in the TAP Workshop and I thinking I had it all figured out. However, I soon realized there was so much that I did not know. I was wandering/lost--trying to find where I fit. I was trying to find a company that shared my values, ethics, morals. When my values were put to the test, I had to make a decision. I wrote a letter that stated ‘we do not share the same ethics/morals/values and resigned. It was the right decision but the situation left me down, disappointed, discouraged and had to step away from a profession that I loved very much. After a lot of soul searching and introspection, I picked myself up and pushed on! Networking and researching was the key!I was given this opportunity to work with #Serco as a facilitator through networking with an amazing mentor. I am forever grateful—as from day #1, I felt as though I had reconnected to my purpose and true passion rooted in service to others. Through service to the community and service to the individuals that feel as though they are wandering and lost themselves! I believe in facilitating with enthusiasm, motivation, and demonstration of the love I have for my job. Most attendees ask me how do I have the energy that I have in the mornings and I reply ‘that’s simple, I love that I’m here with you over the next couple of days’.Smiling and laughter are contagious.I love to motivate, coach, encourage and help people realize that the 'impossible' is absolutely possible.I always say: Life is like a book; chapters 1-10 have been written. Now, open the book to Chapter 11, it’s blank! Here’s your pen!! How do you want it to read? How do you want it to look? Again.....Here’s your pen!!! Education and teaching play an essential part in medicine. I am also a certified PA fellowship trained in Surgery and consider it a blessing to be a part of the patient’s wellness journey. I pride myself on being very proactive in my approach "let's get after 'it' before 'it' even comes up". I consider myself a partner and confidant to patient’s and have fallen in love with that aspect. I have a robust history of seeing patients from pediatric to geriatric in Family Medicine and various surgical specialties.
