Senior Human Resources Analyst
CurrentLeave of Absences: Oversee complex leave of absences; supervise and support HR Analyst II who administers leave processing of approximately 75 leaves/year; includes interactive and informative employee discussions; legal notifications; coordination and application of various leave laws, MOUs, Workers Comp/4850, City policies (sick, leave, catastrophic pay) and past practice; short term disability benefits management with payroll coordination for paid/unpaid leaves; and ADA interactive process/reasonable accommodation.Wellness: Champion wellness program as committee chair, oversee incentive program, and roll-out annual event calendar.Training & Development (T&D): Strategize, create, implement, promote, and manage a robust annual in-house T&D program; created training survey and used data in a needs assessment that identified program gaps; analyzed metrics, which resulted in increasing in-house training offerings by 100% over 3 years, number of employees trained by 51%, and total hours of training received by 86%; created, implemented, and successful completion of two internal Leadership Development Programs with 19 senior-manager level participants completing a 4-month/9-course series.Employee Engagement: Lead bi-annual employee engagement surveys and implement related initiatives, created and launched employee-nominated recognition program, and organize employee events.Employee & Labor Relations: Support and coach employees and managers as they apply to various matters; recommend appropriate solutions and resources; assist Department Head and other Senior HR Analysts with labor relations.Additional Responsibilities and Support: Contract management for HR department, with budget oversight for responsible functional areas; deferred compensation RFP project, reclassification studies, policy revisions (harassment prevention, sick leave usage, mandated reporter, and family and medical leave), benefits support, and regional summer internship program.
