My drive to prioritize and elevate Indigenous voices and perspectives comes from my lived experience as a Métis woman, as well as my years living and working in isolated Indigenous communities. I bring forth my academic background in Political Science and Indigenous Studies from the University of North Carolina, and more recently a Master’s degree in Native Studies from the University of Manitoba. I have a breadth of experience working closely with Indigenous communities across Canada. I pride myself on my ability to build strong relationships with communities and stakeholders, tailor engagement and communication materials to community-specific needs, as well as my dedication to bring forth my own lens and knowledge to projects.
