About Karine Rübner

I truly believe in the power of companies to promote social fairness. This is why it is at the core of my professional fulfillment since day one. Bringing different perspectives together, creating a cultural transformation to have a positive impact on employees, the environment and society in general: This is the never-ending challenge that describes my professional journey. I believe in this cultural change and I believe it will help us face our present and future societal challenges.The wish to bring different perspectives together may already comes from childhood (I grew up trilingual - Hebrew, German and French - in Nice) and my interest for the impact on society grew during my politics studies in Lille and Münster. Understanding that society functions in an ecosystem, I wondered how and where all the different interests come together. That's how I discovered the field of Corporate Responsibility. I began my career as a project manager in a start-up for corporate social responsibility (CSR). Driven by the desire to play a more active role in shaping digitalisation in Germany and Europe, while focusing on people, I found my way to Berlin and The German Association for the Digital Economy (BVDW) in December 2017. I've been working more than four years there as an advisor and was responsible for the department "New Work" and the department "Digital Responsibility" which I founded. Together with the members of the BVDW I developed the "CDR Building Bloxx - The Framework for Strategy and Implementation of CDR". In my current role as Head of Sustainability & Diversity at diconium (since April 2022), I am responsible for developing and implementing both Diversity and Climate Strategies.
