I spent nearly a decade working in and around the Brussels Bubble, before crossing the border to the The Netherlands to join the Corporate Communications team at Europol as the social media coordinator. I have since continued my EU career by moving to Eurojust, where I currently am the Digital Communications Officer, specialising in social media coordination.Prior to moving to The Hague, I spent 4+ years managing social media accounts for the U.S. Department of State in Brussels, first at the U.S. Mission to the EU and later at the U.S. Mission to NATO. Before this, I was the Communications Manager for EMMA, a European association that represents the interests of magazine publishers vis-a-vis the EU institutions. I have a keen interest in security policy, EU affairs, transatlantic relations and new media trends. I'm also an avid photographer, a skill that's been utilized both in- and outside the office.While born and bred in the United States, Belgium became my second home after relocating there in 2009, and I now hold dual U.S.-Belgian citizenship. I speak both English and Dutch, and struggle my way through basic French.
