Along my career as a true strategic human resources business partner, I’ve been dedicated to leveraging market data, industry best practices, and integration of systems to develop initiatives that foster employee engagement and empowerment. My purpose has always been to lead teams in the advancement of sustainable goals. My teams and I are considered trusted advisors by elected officials, senior management, and employees for advice on navigating change that resolves complex issues. As much of the practice of HR management transcends industries, we have touched clients in a number of fields including; science, technology, energy, education (K12 to post secondary), healthcare, manufacturing, entertainment & hospitality, utilities, transportation, transit, communications, and public safety. While I have enjoyed working in all areas of human resources, I particularly enjoy developing effective HR related action plans that improve culture and are scalable. Projects that my team and I have completed have helped to: improve employee & labor relations; total rewards; benefits offerings; performance management; incentive pay; succession planning; diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging; staffing levels; and system integration. A few efforts that my team and I have initiated that I’m particularly proud of include:• Partnering with a regional association of 119 cities and 9 counties to develop recommendations using internal analysis and market data to normalize member organizations job classification standards and to determine equitable pay across participating accounts. Efforts converted member accounts from roughly 95% non-compliance to 100% in compliance for federal grant opportunities.• Prevention of labor conflicts with multiple municipalities by including unions in human resources efforts.• Resolution of operational issues such as HRIS system selection, organizational design, staffing levels, succession planning, and training needs.
