Worked in the office of Senator Cathy Giessel, chair of the Senate Resources Committee 2015-2018, then Senate President 2019-2020Assisted with office duties, research and carried legislation, staff person for the Senate Education Committee and State Affairs Committee, scheduled appointments, and meetings, attended various other legislative events and performed other tasks as assigned. In the office of the Senate President was responsible for all floor proceedings, motion scripting and bill referrals, in addition to interim hiring authorizations, travel and office accounting. Selected as an inaugural participant in NCSL’s Child Welfare Policy Fellowship in 2018. Participated in the highly competitive Legislative Staff Management Institute in 2019. Legislation I worked on that passed into law: Senate Bill 142 Insurance for Anti-Cancer Medication (2016), and Senate Bill 180 Safe Families for Children Act (2016).

Greet and seat guests, organized reservations and hostess stand, managed seating for the restaurant, assisted servers with clearing tables and serving food, stocking silverware and supplies, and performed other tasks as assigned.

Worked during the interim in the office of Senator John Coghill. This was a temporary position as I returned to college in August of 2014Assisted with office duties and constituent work, worked specifically on a piece of legislation in preparation for the upcoming legislative session and performed other tasks as assigned.

Seasonal merchandiser for Coca Cola of Alaska. Responsible for working a specific route restocking shelves with Coca Cola products 6, 12, and 24-packs of soda, 2-liter bottles, single serve bottles, set up weekly displays in stores, and drove a company vehicle while on the job.

Worked in the office of Senate Majority Leader John Coghill.Assisted with office duties, carried a piece of legislation, was the staff person for the State Affairs committee meetings which included researching the bills and learning their content, attended various other legislative events and performed other tasks as assigned. Legislation I worked on that passed into law: Senate Bill 52 Portable Electronics Insurance (2013).
