I am an Accounting Assistant at Marmon/Keystone, a leading distributor of specialty pipe, tubing, and bar, where I apply my data analytics, business process, and administrative assistance skills to various tasks and projects. I am responsible for coding and entering invoices, verifying and onboarding new vendors, performing cost adjustments and issuing debit/credit notes, and performing weekly cheque runs. I also produce monthly reports and assist with month end closing, reconciling the accounts payable ledger, processing employee expense reports, amending import and export reports for GST, and researching and resolving accounts payable issues. I have contributed to the improvement of the accounts payable process by implementing data validation and automation tools, resulting in increased accuracy and efficiency.I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in commerce-accounting from Nipissing University, after completing accounting diploma from Mohawk College. I have a keen interest in data analytics and how it can improve business performance and decision making. I work with a team of professionals who are committed to delivering quality service and value to our customers and stakeholders.
