Karishma Ajmera is the cofounder and creative director at Twist Open UX (https://www.twistopen.in/) a strategic UX design agency in Bangalore. A graduate of the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, she has a cumulative work experience of 20 years in Customer Experience design, both offline and online. After an initial stint in hardcore retail space design, the last decade has been focussed on architecting and designing interactive web & mobile experiences.As the founder and creative lead at Twist Open UX, Karishma is adept at juxtaposing User Experience Design with business requirements and technology constraints. From designing retail experiences for Titan and Amazon - to UX strategy and design for South Africa’s largest bank, Karishma’s strengths span across project management, project strategy, discovering deep customer insights, scenario building, information architecture, usability, networking and communication.Karishma’s studio has worked on projects across many verticals including Education, Telecom, IoT, Banking, Blockchain, Retail, Entertainment and Travel. They have serviced clients across public, private and not-for-profit sectors, a few of them being Asian Paints, Azim Premji University, Verizon, AJIO, Tata Coffee, Cafe Coffee Day, Carl Zeiss, Amazon, Star Sports, Standard Bank of South Africa, Dell and more.Karishma is a regular member on the jury panel for NIFT Bangalore’s graduating students. Her expertise lies in the ability to accurately understand the business goals of the design intervention; and her capability to understand technical constraints and work with technical teams leading to executable designs.
