Karishma is the Head of Client Solutions in the Hong Kong office and joins LOD after 12 years of legal recruitment experience. She has extensive industry knowledge and a strong network of contacts across law firms and in-house legal teams throughout the APAC region. Karishma’s focus is to design solutions to assist legal teams’ to resource in a more efficient and effective way, whilst broadening and strengthening our client relationships. Karishma is a keen traveller, dog lover and foodie. She spends most of her weekends with her dogs and checking out new restaurants around Hong Kong.

Karishma graduated with an LLB (Hons) in Law from The University of Manchester and a PCLL from The University of Hong Kong. Karishma started her legal recruiting career in 2007 with a leading international recruitment firm placing lawyers with both in-house and private practice clients across the APAC region. At Lewis Sanders, Karishma heads our Commerce and Industry team and places both in-house and private practice candidates. Karishma has built up a strong network of contacts within the legal industry and she has extensive experience in serving AmLaw 100, Magic Circle, international law firms, multi-national companies and financial services clients through the placement of lawyers in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, and Singapore.

At Lewis Sanders, Karishma works with both in-house and private practice candidates (with a particular focus on US lawyers), as well as assisting compliance professionals looking to move within the financial services and corporate sectors. She has over six years of legal search experience in Asia and has an extensive network of contacts within the legal industry.Before joining Pure, Karishma was with a global recruitment firm where she placed qualified lawyers of all levels. In addition to her in-house search and recruitment experience, Karishma also has extensive experience in serving AmLaw 100, Magic Circle, and international law firms.Karishma studied Law at The University of Manchester and completed her PCLL at The University of Hong Kong.In her spare time Karishma enjoys spending time with her dogs and travelling.

Karishma Khemaney is a Consultant based in the Hong Kong office of Major, Lindsey & Africa. As a member of MLA’s In-House Practice Group, Karishma’s focus is on placing local and cross-border associate and counsel candidates into the legal departments of MLA’s multinational and financial services clients in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, and Singapore. With six years of legal search experience in Asia, Karishma has developed an extensive network of contacts within the legal industry which range from Managing Partners and Heads of Practice at local and international law firms to Heads of Legal and Heads of HR within multinationals in Asia and overseas. Karishma continually and proactively maps the corporate legal market with the assistance of a team of professional researchers. She also makes direct approaches to candidates who are strong cultural and technical fits for her diverse client base from varied industries which include: technology, hospitality, financial services, telecommunications, consumer products, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, among others. While based in Hong Kong, Karishma also travels frequently to Singapore, Shanghai and Beijing to meet with her clients and candidates, and to sponsor in-house conferences and host private GC events. Her travels provide her with current developments in each market she works in, and her relationships which have been strengthened over the years serve both her clients and candidates. Karishma also travels regularly to the US to train with other MLA in-house consultants in order to stay on top of global in-house practice developments and industry trends. In addition to her in-house search and recruitment experience, Karishma also has extensive experience in serving AmLaw 100, Magic Circle and international law firms through the placement of associates and counsels throughout Asia.
