About Karis Mcguire
Hi, I'm Karis! I'm a Spanish Interpreter and Translator specializing in volunteer and community work. Enabling people to create deeper connections with each other has always been my passion. I love being helping people understand new concepts and communicate clearly with each other (especially when two or more individuals speak different languages).I began learning Spanish at a very young age. I was so excited when I learned that speaking Spanish could be a career! Since my final year of high school, my passion has been to help people gain access to services that naturally present barriers to care. My goal is to help bridge the language gap between English and Spanish speakers in the United States by eliminating communication gaps and preventing misunderstandings through professional interpreting and translation. I gained Spanish fluency during my time at university. During this time, I focused on learning and implementing interpreter and translator techniques. I also studied French for two years. My future goal is to grow in French proficiency and maybe even add Mandarin Chinese to my list. So far, I've been able to use my skills to help many businesses and volunteer organizations with their Spanish language needs!
