Garment Design: Lead the creation of original designs, from concept to final product. This includes sketching, fabric selection, pattern making, and ensuring that the designs align with the brand’s vision and market needs.Trend Research: Stay on top of global fashion trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences to ensure the brand remains relevant and competitive.Prototyping and Sampling: Work with the production team to create samples of designs, overseeing adjustments and refinements before finalizing for production.Fabric and Material Selection: Choose fabrics, trims, and other materials that align with the brand’s aesthetic and values (e.g., sustainable sourcing)..- Seasonal Collections: Plan and design seasonal collections, which may include coordinating the timeline of design, production, and delivery to align with retail or e-commerce schedules.- Prototyping and Sampling: Work with the production team to create samples of designs, overseeing adjustments and refinements before finalizing for production.- Fabric and Material Selection: Choose fabrics, trims, and other materials that align with the brand’s aesthetic and values (e.g., sustainable sourcing).- Quality Control: Ensure that the final garments meet the brand’s standards for fit, finish, and durability.- Cost Management: Work on cost-effective strategies without compromising quality, helping set pricing structures and ensuring profit margins.-Establishing the Brand Identity: Define the brand’s aesthetic, mission, values, and target market. This includes the overall look and feel of the collections, the tone of the designs, and how the brand connects with consumers.- Creative Direction: Set the creative vision for the collections and oversee design direction across seasons. This involves deciding on design themes, color palettes, fabrics, and overall style.
