I have taught many different subjects during my time at Penguin Coding School. I have taught gaming classes using HTML/Javascript/CSS, Python, Java, and Scratch classes from introduction levels to advanced levels for all. I know all of these languages and concepts well enough that I can break down and explain these advanced concepts to kids, aged 6-18. Currently, I am writing a curriculum for intermediate to advanced programming in Python. This includes concepts such as object-oriented programming, applications, etc.

My responsibilities include, knowing the menu fully to be able to cater to my customers, having good customer service at all times, and being able to work under a face paced and high pressure environment. Being a server has taught me to be detail oriented to be able to work under many different working conditions.

As a manager I have learned how to interact with my peers so that they take me seriously as a boss, but so I am also approachable. I also make sure that the set up and take down of all the equipment is done on time. If there are conflicts between coworkers, or students and instructors then it is my responsibility to resolve them in a professional manner.

In this job my responsibilities were to create the schedule for my peers as well as manage them. I also planned the day to day for the camp. On top of all of this I also had to balance buying all the supplies needed for camp and managing the budget. This job taught me how to manage my peers so that they took me seriously and so that I was also approachable.

As a lifeguard my job was to facilitate the pool and prevent injuries or potential injuries from happening. This job taught me to use my voice and to be assertive. This was my first job so it also taught me how to be professional in the workplace and the importance of a job.
