I’ve been the recipient of so much help and good counsel along the way from wonderful people, that I feel it’s time to pay it forward. I’ll tell you all about my many setbacks and share some amazing wins. I founded EarthKind® on the belief that household products could be as safe as they are effective, through the use of high-quality botanical formulations, new delivery systems, and consumer education. As a result, our products have revolutionized the pest control industry by educating both pest professionals and households on how taking a preventative approach can replace poisons and other forms of killing rodents in a majority of situations. I built this company with a unifying purpose, making us pioneers in the development and commercialization of people, pet, and planet friendly bio-pesticides that has resulted in industry change through growing consumer demand.EarthKind innovated the ‘pest prevention’ category in 2007 with the first (and only) Federal EPA-registered botanical rodent repellent certified for indoor use [Fresh Cab brand], and was awarded the highly coveted NEXTY award in 2015 for best new product of the year [Stay Away brand] which includes retail-ready solutions for ants, spiders, moths, rodents, cockroaches, mosquitoes. Self employed Regenerative farmer on 1100 acres in Western ND. Grew 13 different crops, black angus, sold organic produce to local chefs, grocers, and farmers markets. Grew fern leaf dill for a mega soup company, tagetes marigolds for large poultry farms for bird health. Built cottage market system for my potpourri company, with wildcrated pods, and flowers grown by farm wives. Recognized by FFA with lifetime award. President of church Women’s group, did a lot of fundraising with volunteers. Most amazing women on earth. Super hard to eek out a life on this soil, in these parts. We all had to be entrepreneurial and collaborative.
