As a Research Project Manager at the Center for Healthy Aging at Penn State University, I bring over fifteen years of experience in managing complex research projects and initiatives across various centers at Penn State. Holding a Master of Science in Nutrition from Penn State, my expertise lies in project management, developing research protocols, ensuring regulatory compliance, database design, data management and data visualization.I am also the Co-Founder and Vice President of the Emily Whitehead Foundation, where I advocate for pediatric cancer research and cell and gene therapies. My work in this field has led to international speaking engagements, where I share the patient/caretake perspective and insights and advancements in pediatric cancer treatment, including cell and gene therapy. My expertise in the nonprofit field includes program management, event management, and serving as a patient advocate for clinical trial research.★ My commitment to continuous learning fuels my professional growth and enriches my research capabilities. I am currently working on a master's degree in data analytics/data visualization.★ I am also passionate about uncovering stories from the past and connecting individuals with their heritage and currently pursuing certification as a genealogist.
