Monthly room safety checks which involved testing radiator temperatures, hot and cold water temperatures, checking electrical sockets and lighting for faults and also checking the security of fire doors.

Countrywide maintenance and decorating contract as a self-employed handymanAll the work I undertook for this company was subcontracted from a company called TCL Group Ltd, and was either located in London or Kent. Most of the work was decorating contracts but I was recruited for my multi skilled abilities, such as rotten woodwork repairs on doors, and window frames before decoration. Or fencing repairs before staining. I also was asked to build replacement bespoke walnut veneered mdf cabinets for a barber shop in Chiswick as part of an insurance job after flooding. I was also on many occasions asked to supervise teams of labourers in all roles from digging foundations, to stripping the interiors of buildings ready for refurbishment or demolition. Work undertaken: Countrywide telecommunications installations and maintenance work subcontracted from British Telecoms, and Bailey TeswainThis position required me to be part of a team installing copper and fibre optic data cabling under floors and in overhead containment in data centres and large buildings such as Canary Wharf. Once the cables had been pulled into place, we were required to terminate each loom of cables onto the back of 24 way patch panels, using punchdown tools, ready to be connected to data cabinets and switches at one end, and often to positions on or near desks for roles such as banking, or stockbroking out on the office floors.

In this customer facing role I was responsible for customers everyday banking needs such as paying bills, withdrawing and crediting cash, ordering cards and statements, bank transfers (both within the U.K and worldwide) and all other aspects of banking. I was responsible for holding branch keys and security codes, filling up and maintaining ATM's, was accountable for counting untold amounts of cash, and even stepped in and covered for the counter manager on multiple occasions when needed. This role taught me the importance of excellent customer service and the correct way to communicate with our customers face to face, on the telephone, and in written communications.

In this role for an approved Rolls Royce and Bentley garage I was the MOT tester’s assistant, as well as being responsible for general repairs and maintenance on all other makes of vehicles that were brought in. Such as servicing, changing braking, steering and suspension components, exhausts and lots of other repairs. I was also responsible for general Workshop and MOT bay cleanliness, and assisting customers by phone and over the counter as well as ordering parts and materials needed.
