Bi Project LeadMultichoice May 2016 - May 2017Randburg, Gauteng, Za• Leading the Multichoice Finance Programme BI Team as the Project Lead and Solution Architect.• Identified and pursued new business opportunities within Multichoice by gaining approval to extend the project to new business areas.• Brought together a group of stakeholders from various departments to provide analysis that shows the efficiency of the customer decoder reconnection process (key business process that previously had no available analytics).• Designed a revenue assurance model to recalculate Multichoice’s revenue for subscribers across their residential and corporate businesses. This is the first time Multichoice has had access to such a model.• Introduced user-managed data into the data warehouse through the implementation of Microsoft MDS.• Identified gaps in the Multichoice BI/reporting strategy and made recommendations. After careful consideration by the Multichoice BI Architecture Team, our recommendations were accepted and implemented as the best possible solution.• Based on my recommendations, Multichoice altered their initial resource requirements and we completely restructured the team, which proved to be a much better fit for the project requirements and yielded cost savings and efficiency gains.• Established a full Agile process for the project in Team Foundation Server and assumed the role of scrum master and chief client liaison, driving requirements gathering workshops, estimation workshops, sprint planning meetings and daily scrum meetings.• Continuously bringing together a disparate team of internal IT staff, management, contractors, business users and finance users to establish requirements for a new reporting platform through the Centre of Information & Insights (CII).• Managing the implementation of the new reporting platform that covers complex business and finance requirements.• Creating proof of concept queries to guide my team of developers, and taking responsibility as the final point of escalation for technical issues. -
