With over 18 year’s experience in the AV industry, I am an integral part of the Image Supply Systems management team and have been instrumental in building one of the best Installation and maintenance teams in Ireland. As well as over seeing the day to day Operations I work closely with the senior management team on business strategy and development.

Senior Audio Visual Installation engineer, involved in the installation and support of a wide range of audio visual systems in sectors including education, corporate and public sector. My responsibilities range from the initial survey, management of projects, to cabling, rack building, programming, fault finding, commissioning and handover as well as day to day support of all existing installations including customers with maintenance contracts. The majority of installs we complete include Video and Audio Conferencing (Polycom, Cisco, Lifesize, ClearOne), Projection systems (NEC, Sony, Canon, Panasonic) Digital Displays (NEC, Sony, Panasonic, Sharp) Digital Signage (OneLan), Control Automation (Crestron, AMX, Extron), Video Capture/ Streaming (Extron), Interactive Projector/ Displays (Smart, Sony, Epson, NEC), within Corporate Boardrooms, Divisible meeting/training rooms, Auditoriums, Classrooms, Lecture theatres, Reception areas. and Large Town halls spaces.AV technical qualifications include:Polycom Video Conferencing Service Certification, Cisco TelePresence Video Engineer Certification, Extron Control Professional Certification and Crestron Programming CTI-P101 Certification.

IT technician as part of a team of two. Our Daily duties involved Configuring to order Desktop workstations, Laptops and Servers pre-delivery to end-users, be they upgrades or downgrades. Dealing with both Hardware and Software builds on all three platforms. While in this role we also provided First Line Technical support to Sharp Re-sellers on the entire Sharp Photocopier product range and are also responsible for the setting up and installation of these products for end-users.

Within this company I was solely responsible for the customer hardware support side of this small organisation. This involved setting up, preparing for sale and the installation of new and second-hand Digital passport camera systems, Photocopiers, Fax Machines, Desktop Printers, and any other items, which were required by the sales team. I was responsible for the logging and resolving of customer technical queries and complaints both in house and on site. Therefore, I was effectively the Service manager, Service Engineer and Front Line Technical Support Agent all in one. I gained greatly from this role from a technical sense and from a business sense as I experienced a lot of what is involved in running a service department, all be it in a small scale.

While in Fás I was working in T.O.S Ireland in a traineeship role as the above. Following which they hired me as the above in a permanent role. Over the two years I was involved in setting up and preparing for sale, maintaining and repairing, the full range of Toshiba office products, Photocopiers/Facsimiles/Printing Systems. Both in house and on site. Visiting customer’s premises on a daily basis, troubleshooting their machines and taking the correct action in order to solve the particular fault in each case. Working in this role has helped to expand my electronic and mechanical skills and experience.

A traineeship program covering all aspects of servicing business equipment. Course content included Junior Electronics, E.C.D.L, Computer networking. A company within the business sponsored each candidate on the course, in my case T.O.S Ireland (Toshiba) were my sponsors. Initially joined within production assembly plant. Progressed through quality control and troubleshooting roles and subsequently transferred to above position. Member of a team consisting of six. Responsible for all aspects of processing returned and damaged goods and entering data on AS400 application. Assembled and stripped down PC’s and tested components to identify faulty parts to meet personal targets set. Uploaded and tested the specific software required by the customer on a case-by-case basis. Conducted quality audit checks on finished products to ensure specific customer needs met. Inputted accurate details of hardware peripherals to update stock records prior to physical return to stores. Resolved various defects to comply with company standards and maintain ISO 9001 accreditation. Developed knowledge of software/hardware to enhance personal performance.
