Director of Solar Site Survey for Our World Energy. I started solar back in 2011 with SolarCity as a site surveyor and worked for them until shortly before the Tesla purchase. After SolarCity I went to SunRun around 2016 as an installer and was promoted to crew lead after 6 months. I didn’t find installing as challenging as I had hoped and transferred to a site survey position that was available and continued to gain experience and knowledge within that department. I wasn’t happy being stuck at the same house all day on an install team and loved surveying because it was a new and different challenge on each job. After SunRun I went to Freedom Forever Solar in 2019 and continued my journey as a surveyor and was promoted to a Lead Surveyor out of the Tucson, AZ branch. I was responsible for a team of 6 surveyors who I trained personally and oversaw job quality and held weekly safety meetings. Around 2022 SunPower reached out to me with a lead surveyor position that would offer me more responsibility and would expand my experience as a manager. After 6 months at SunPower, Our World Energy reached out to me to create and run their Survey Department and it has been the best experience I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of. Out of all of the solar companies I have worked for, not one of them has come close to the amazing, challenging, and loving family environment that we have here at OWE. I am truly passionate about renewable energy and feel accomplished about saving the world by helping people go solar one house at a time.
