Karl Lehmann is a consultant winemaker with 25 years of experience in serving the international wine industry as a winemaker, technical consultant and lecturer. He has led hundreds of clients over the years in creating their own world class wines and portfolios. As an entrepreneur he co-founded Vellum. A 3,000 case per annum Napa Valley wine brand of international critical acclaim. Karl also has an extensive background in chemistry as a lead DNA sequencer and researcher on the Human Genome Project for the the U.S. Department of Energy that led to the development of modern commercial DNA testing. In addition, he is a decorated U.S. Navy Gulf War Veteran.
