I started my working life in retail supermarkets; holding supervisory and management positions across shop floor and back office functions.This allowed me to develop my customer service and people management skills in a fast paced retail environment, as well as demonstrating my organisational and creative abilities when merchandising from company plans as well as my own ideas.From retail I went into policing, using my previously learnt skills to gain promotion to the rank of sergeant, as well as undertaking roles in several departments and specialisms, including response policing, Roads Policing Unit, Bronze Targetting Officer, Custody Officer, Police Support Unit and Chemical, Biological, Nuclear & Radiation first responder.I am now working in traffic management, setting out, maintaining and removing temporary traffic management schemes.I am an enthusiastic learner, priding myself on being able to achieve competencies in new areas in a short time frame. I have been described as a doer, always looking for tasks to keep myself busy, working to very high standards, be it following instructions or working from my own initiative.Being analytically minded I enjoy finding out about processes, questioning why and how things work, looking for possible improvements and implementing them when feasible.
