A hard-working, driven and dedicated Third-Year MBiomedSci Biomedical Science student at the University of Sheffield with interests in Pharmacology, Physiology and Data Science. I am currently looking for a lab-based, research placement for 2025-26. Currently, I am most interested in drug discovery, pharmacology and physiology while looking to expand my data handling, analysis and programming skillset. More specifically, I have always been fascinated by the effects of supplementation and nutrition on the physiology of human systems.Outside of academics, I am highly involved with the Sheffield University Walking Club (SUWC) as their Publicity Officer (2024-25), Safety & Training Officer (2022-23), Grade I Walks Leader and Qualified First Aider. I have drastically become more inclined towards optimizing my fitness, health and well-being, which makes outdoor activities and the Peak District a perfect match. In addition, I have been a member of the Chess Club and have competed in both club and individual tournaments.I have previously partook in part-time work as an AstraZeneca Brand Ambassador, a School of Biosciences Student Ambassador with the University of Sheffield and a member of their Student Experience Panel. Being a student ambassador has enabled me to learn more about my department while engaging with other students, members of staff and the public community. In addition, being a member of the Student Experience Panel has given me the chance to use my student voice and make an impact on University decision-making through my feedback and critiques on various topic areas. Alongside my part-time jobs, I am an avid freelance writer and editor for many large partners and manufacturers in the electronics industry and maker space. I am self-taught in several programming languages and have developed skills in working with electronic hardware. Through building and managing my personal website, I have additionally networked with various brands and gained sponsorships, whilst actively contributing to the electronics hobby.To expand my expertise, I am continuously searching for research opportunities, work experience and/or collaborations to improve my practical, data handling and employability skills. I am passionate about personal growth and self-improvement in all aspects, endeavouring to use my complete potential at all times.
