I started my career as a contract developer at PLAYXPERT, a start up company developing an in house mobile attribution platform called Kochava. I worked on a variety of different projects - mobile apps, web development, database development, server side requests, and desktop applications. In addition I managed the Android SDK for Kochava, working closely with our iOS developer to ensure the same experience between both platforms. Kochava grew insanely fast and was soon able to fully support the company. The contract side of PLAYXPERT was set aside and our company was re-branded as Kochava. I moved into the lead Android developer positions and my responsibilities changed to supporting customers integrating the SDK, developing new features, and creating new libraries to support emerging technologies such as Xamarin, Cocos2DX, and Unity.Looking for a change of pace, I moved to an agriculture tech company called 2nd Sight Bioscience. We sought to bring technology to the farming industry, looking for clever ways to solve problems in the agriculture space. I worked closely with our project lead, visual designer, mechanical engineer, and assembly language programmer to update existing products and build out a suite of new products to help farmers to track labor, inventory, and plant production, take advantage of GPS, provide measurement tools for tree nurseries, and better tools for pest control.
