Manage the department which oversees the flow of crude oil from 62 salt caverns at four sites in Louisiana and Texas to pipelines and terminals to customers of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Heavy involvement in the negotiation of the long term lease of the 2 million barrel St James Crude Oil Terminal to Exxon Mobil Pipeline Company. Managed the commercial sales process of 30 million barrels of crude during four sales cycles.

Managed staff of 20 including 24 hr gas control, land, IT, marketing and administrative staff. Negotiated 600,000 MMbtu/d of gas gathering, transport, compression, purchase and sales agreements with E&P companies (like BP and Chevron), pipelines (Transwestern, Columbia Gulf), marketers and utilities (PSCO). Managed hedging program. Grew EBITDA to $90 million annually from $40 million.

Managed the 24 hr resource coordination desk and staff of +/-20 that purchased natural gas and coal for 2,200 MW of generation and purchased power to maintain the Cleco Power grid system serving 250,000 customers. Managed four power marketers selling power to munis, coops, industrials and utilities. Negotiated a 10 yr tolling agreement for 750 MW with a subsidiary of Southern Company. Managed hedging positions.

Managed a natural gas pipeline, and storage and sales business (Bridgeline LLC) delivering 1 BCF/d to the industrial and utility corridor along the Mississippi River in South Louisiana. Managed commercial staff of 20 people who were doing gas control, measurement, marketing and business development for 1,000 miles of pipeline and two salt dome storage caverns serving large scale industrial, power utility generation and gas distribution company markets. Tripled volume on the system in 5 years.

Responsible for multiple roles over ten years including rate case development, regulatory affairs,special projects, tariff development, acquisition analysis, gas supply and industrial sales for Louisiana Gas, which was the largest gas distribution company in Louisiana at the time, serving 230,000 customers. Managed natural gas hedging positions.
