McMillan Study Guides develops desktop, mobile and web software that helps tens thousands of US Air Force members study for promotion each cycle. As a team leader I play a major role in every aspect of the development process including design, implementation, deployment and maintenance across multiple applications.eLearning product being developed using - Ember.js, CakePHP 3.x, MySQL, TypeScript, Javascript, xAPI, cmi5 - A single page web app for studying and authoring courses that will replace our desktop, web, and mobile apps.Key Roles:- Designed the database structure for the learning content that will support tens of thousands of questions per course with the flexibility to reuse material across different courses, maintain a history of changes, and localize content.- Developed a tool that will convert our course catalog with hundreds of courses stored in XML documents into SQL scripts that will populate the new MySQL course database.- Implemented many features in ember necessary for users to be able to access, filter, and study course material.- Reviewed other team member's code to offer suggestions for improvement or highlight bugs before they reach production.
