Mr. Tarango has been a proven leader in the construction and systems built housing industry for over 20 years. He has served in the capacity of VP Operations, General Manager and President as well as Principle in a construction company that he founded. After 10 years as principle of KT Construction, Karl was offered an opportunity to move back home to Colorado where he guided one of the most successful factories in the country, as part of Champion Enterprises – a $1.3B public company (in 2007). After 8 years as General Manager with Champion, Karl began a new venture with a start-up company in California which successfully produced several award winning projects including America's first micro apartments using off-site fabrication methods. The 23 unit, 4-story building was erected in San Francisco and has been certified LEED Platinum and was nominated as a 2013 finalist for the Urban Land Institute's (ULI) Global Award for Excellence. Mr. Tarango has managed the fabrication and installation of more than 15,000 modular built structures in 20 states and 4 Canadian provinces. His leadership brings in-depth experience and expertise in the industry, including multifamily, single family, commercial, workforce housing and urban infill structures.Karl has a passionate commitment to motivating, developing and training high performing teams and creating an environment emphasizing quality, performance, collaboration and team success.
