Creates mechanical engineering design (plans layout, equipment specification, schedule, elevation views and isometric views). Performs mechanical engineering calculations, mechanical project specifications, basis of design, scope of work and cost estimates.

 Undertake mechanical designs and drafting task, quantity take-offs and preparation of specification. Prepare detail drawings requiring a degree of technical knowledge in relevant to design principles. Carries out Hydraulic Calculation for water main piping systems, Pump selection, Pipe Sizing, and mechanical data sheets. Performs pipe routing, equipment layout general arrangement, pipe support, and schedule of materials for pipe spools. Preforms HVAC works, specifically for duct routings, schedule of materials, heat load and fan calculation.  Carries out clash detection and generates reports for building information model. Review vendor mechanical catalogue, deliverables for engineering contractors, and construction activities in relates to mechanical works. Prepare modification proposals, collect required site information and discuss with other engineering discipline for site execution.
