With 6 years of experience as a police officer, I started and learned the foundation of my career in Patrol. Through that, I have honed my skills in crisis response, conflict resolution, and maintaining public safety in dynamic, high-pressure environments. My experience in Patrol prepared me for the transition into my current role as a School Resource Officer, where I currently work.In addition to my hands-on experience, I have received extensive training in investigative roles, which has enhanced my ability to assess and resolve complex situations with precision and professionalism. I have completed specialized courses in areas such as effective communication, report writing, collaborating and working together with outside agencies, sexual and domestic violence, mental health & suicide training, and handling crucial conversations. These skills enable me to work effectively across various situations, from intervening in potential conflicts to offering support to students and staff facing emotional, physical or psychological challenges.I believe that effective policing involves more than just taking action; it’s about building relationships and creating an environment where people feel safe and respected. It’s about recognizing the importance of mental health, listening actively, and offering support to those who are facing personal struggles or difficult circumstances. By taking the time to acknowledge people’s concerns, validate their experiences, and offer guidance or resources, I aim to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
