Karla currently serves as the Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Pennsylvania (RMHC-CP). She is responsible for the strategic and operational direction of this family focused organization, Karla and her team deliver support to families whose children receive essential medical care at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital in Hershey, PA and Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. She provides oversight for the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey, the Ronald McDonald Family Room® and Hospitality Cart Program at Penn State Health Children's Hospital and RMHC-CP Kiosk at Lancaster General Hospital.Prior to joining RMHC-CP, Karla served in multiple leadership roles during a 15 year career at United Way of the Capital Region, most recently as Vice President of Resource Development and Director of Major Gifts & Planned Giving.Karla holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology and was employed as a Certified Employee Assistance Counselor (EAP) and Drug and Alcohol Counselor prior to transferring her skills and passion into the area of development.Karla is a member of the 2017 Executive Leadership Harrisburg Area class and recognized as a member of the YWCA's 2023 Women of Excellence class.
