I am a IT Technical Support Specialist, with a passion for people, 5+ years of customer service, and passion for technology, From a young age I had to debate with myself, between my love for computers, art, and animals. I am one of the lucky few to say I have had my chance at all three! My passion for computers started off at the age of six, when my older cousin stuck me in front of a computer, opened “paint tool” and called it a game. This slowly evolved from a simple program of Paint to more complicated games like The Sims, to Guild Wars Online and with this fascination of video games came with my own trouble shooting skills since I found it fun and challenging. I quickly picked up how to trouble shoot my own issues, in order to then also run programs like Sai Paint, or Photoshop Elements and protect my important online account information from hackers.My mouse soon then turned to a tablet and wireless pen, melding both passions of computers and art together into Graphic Design to be seen as too advanced since I was self-taught and moved into Gaming Arts and Design at the Art’s Institute of Houston at the young age of seventeen. Unfortunately, this passion quickly came to an end when the debt I was looking forward to wasn’t adding up job demand wise. I quickly picked up dog grooming starting off as a bather at PetSmart and quickly promoted into Dog Grooming after seeing how quickly I picked up the skills while on the job and honed my customer service skills and communication. I am so happy my passion for dogs came in handy, my plan was to save money from dog grooming for computer IT Technical Support Education.Life quickly picked me up though and by that I mean I was then picked up by John Andrews to be his apprentice after he saw my talent, and that became from a temporary position to permanent Grooming Salon Manager. I enjoyed my time with him and once he retired, I was glad to have the opportunity to go back to my original plan which was IT Technical Support. I am so blessed to say Merit America gave me this opportunity and saw my eagerness to learn! I Quickly advanced through an already accelerated program and got my Google IT Technical Support Certification along with the others that came with it!I hope to bring my quick learning asset, my customer service skills, and passion for learning to your company!
