Aside from my education, I am very passionate about my faith, helping others, and being the change. I have always believed that there is something different about someone when they are determined to accomplish something. My current conditions are living proof of these aspirations. I am looking for internships and opportunities that allow me to step out of my comfort zone, whether that be in the corporate world or following my teaching experience. Certain skills that I have acquired over the past few years is experience with Zoom and writing emails. I am also great at communicating with or to others, leading a group, public speaking, peer-mentoring and challenging my creativity. I am excited for what this platform can do for me and what I can do to reciprocate it.

Student ResearcherThe College Of Education At The University Of Texas At Austin Dec 2022 - Feb 2024Lima, PeruThis program worked with Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru to provide students with an understanding of literacy initiatives implemented with international support in the Peruvian Amazon. We learned about the importance of preserving indigenous languages through collaboration with local partners. Student teams will collected data from leaders, educators, children, and families in the region of Ucayali to design literacy proposals informed by context. Research Project Opportunity included a 3-hour research in context course and a 1-hour research practice course. Along with 2 trips to Lima, Peru to produce this research. My group specifically focused on Indigenous Languages in the Classroom.
