EMBARQ is the World Resources Institute (WRI) signature initiative for sustainable transport and urban developlment, operating through a global network of centers in Brazil, China, India, Mexico, and Turkey. EMBARQ has built its global recognition on its local experience, helping to improve quality of life in cities worldwide. As the Program Transportation Coordinator I was responsible of being the interface with external stakeholders, such as agencies, local and state government officials, bus owners, and private sector on transportation strategy, regulatory compliance, and policy development. I was in charge of developing, managing budgets, and programming expense management to commit with the donors requests. I was part of the team who developed the first managerial training program for bus owners in Mexico.Achievements: Assisted in the implementation of Bus Rapid Transit systems from planning to execution in Puebla, Chihuahua, and Juarez City. I was also in charge of analyzing shipment volume and revenue to determine effectiveness and profitability of pricing strategies. I analyzed competitor pricing and made recommendations to improve the company pricing and profitability. Achievements: Increased volume by 20% on key countries because of the implementation of pricing strategies.
