In my role as a Bilingual Education & Outreach Specialist / Community Organizer, I conduct door-to-door outreach to tenants living in Flatbush, East Flatbush, Prospect Park, and South Crown Heights. Here, I ask them about their living conditions, and any issues in their apartment/building, eventually inviting them to one of our "Know Your Rights" workshops or offering resources. I also assist in making phone calls to tenants inviting them to attend our virtual and in-person events.

I assisted a Communications Instructor through a 3-week intensive college course aimed at helping first-year financially and academically disadvantaged students.I conducted study group sessions with twelve students to review concepts learned in class. I also reviewed concepts such as essay format and email etiquette.Facilitated both one-on-one, and small groups sessions with students to aid them in assignments and providing resources.

I managed a budget and allocated money to resources needed for a successful year.As an editor, I have the opportunity to look over articles and edit them. I also have co-produced and am planning on writing articles for the rest of the academic year.

Manage monetary business transactions deposit checks (C.O.D’s) into the Regions Banking System as well as mail out checks to their designated destination.Serve as frontline customer service to receive, solve and/or escalate customer inquiries and issuesLiaison between drivers and their respective contractors regarding the remaining packages on each truck and the estimated time of arrival of each driver.

As a package handler, I was trained in the Smalls area to use the proper equipment and technique when scanning & bagging packages. As new package handlers entered, I later trained them on the same things I learned.

As an intern, I primarily worked with older adults and senior citizens in preparing for their upcoming citizenship exam with the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS). This included translating words/phrases/sentences, practicing writing and speaking, and answering questions from the Civics portion of the exam.With the other departments, I assisted in filing paperwork, making copies, helping legal permanent residents file their citizenship applications, conducting mental health screenings, create and prepare materials for outreach events.
