Karla Tat Email and Phone Number
I am currently a junior pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Aerospace Engineering and I love everything about the Aerospace Industry. I've delved into both the space and aircraft disciplines of Aerospace and found both fields extremely invigorating and interesting. It is my ambition to use the knowledge I obtain in aeronautics and aerospace from my studies in university as well as my technical skills and extracurriculars to pursue a profession in design, analysis, and manufacturing of rockets, spacecrafts, and aircrafts. To aid in the development of space transportation/travel and to further progress the development of commercial aviation would be an amazing feat. I'd love to have the opportunity to partake in revolutionary technology and Aerospace development. Attending an industry night held by the NASA Johnson Space Center was an extraordinary experience that really shaped and cultivated my desire to join in on the journey and use my knowledge and skills to really make a difference and contribute to the advancement of the space and air industry. After building my first high power rocket, I have really come to enjoy the design and manufacturing process and hope to be able to use my skills in CAD, FEA, Arduino, soldering/wiring, 3D printing, and manufacturing to design and build many more space and atmosphere related vehicles! Additionally, with my position as an undergraduate researcher for the Advanced Vertical Flight Laboratory, I would like to explore more of the analysis aspect of Aerospace Engineering using software such as CFD and Ansys. My background in computer science is another field of Aerospace I am interested in pursuing. I am proficient in Python, JAVA, C++, and software such as MATLAB and am looking at opportunities in the Avionics field as well. I hope to be able to contribute meaningfully to the Aerospace Industry and am seeking internship related opportunities!
