• Conduct full custody investigations as referred by Friend of the Court and make recommendations to the Court using the 12 Best Interest Factors. Investigative procedures include home visits, in camera interviews, and gathering information via references, CPS reports, FOIA requests, drug testing, etc.• Conduct guardianship reviews as referred by Probate Court by completing home visits, contacting biological parents, and reporting to the Court any concerns and whether it is necessary to continue legal guardianship of minor child(ren). • Supervise parenting time for non-custodial parents and their minor children, ensuring safety of children and intervening as needed to redirect conversation and/or activity.• Collaborate with MSU College of Law students to advocate for the well-being of children and families through a multi-disciplinary approach.
