As a young man, Karl’s ambition was to find the tools to help himself and others to succeed. After leaving school at a young age Karl completed a four year marine apprenticeship. With a marine technician trade under his belt he moved from Auckland to Christchurch where he settled for a few years building boats for Haines Hunter. Progressing his passion for constant self-improvement and training, Karl took up an I.T. Sales role for Genesis Computer Supplies. From there he worked his way up to Sales Manager, and then onto become General Manager.Karl and his now wife Alishia did their OE together through the USA and Europe, and once back in Auckland Origin I.T. was born from humble beginnings out of their garage. Karl married the love of his life Alishia, and had two beautiful young children Travis and Ashley. One of Karl’s endearing memories is of Alishia debt-collecting from the home office while going into labour with Travis after only 6 months of business.Karl managed Origin I.T for over 12 years. He is highly motivated, and was instrumental in developing Origin IT methodologies, strategies and leading the business from its conception in 2000 through to selling the business in 2012.He played rugby for New Brighton in Christchurch and Suburbs in Auckland throughout his youth and raced Go Karts at a high level finishing on the podium at national level,and now loves to ride his KTM dirt bike with his family and friends, play golf and fish.Karl is also devoted husband to his amazing wife and is a loving and supportive Dad, to his son Travis and daughter Ashley.
